Toshiba Tecra A11-S3531

The A11-S3531 is a 15.6" model in Toshiba's Tecra series of higher-end business laptops. It costs about $100 more than the S3521, as it adds 512 MB of discrete graphics memory, in the form of the Nvidia NVS 2100M, making it a good choice for mobile graphics professionals.

The notebooks are otherwise identical in hardware, equipped with 2.4GHz Intel Core i5 processors and 4 GB of RAM. Built-in connectivity includes Bluetooth, wireless-N, and eSATA. A fingerprint reader combines with Toshiba's EasyGuard technology, aiming to offer a level of security adequate for corporate users. LED backlighting and Toshiba's Eco Utility help to qualify the S3531 for Energy Star but fail to extend battery life beyond 3.5 hours. The top-of-the-line A11-S3540 offers an upgrade to a 2.66GHz Core-i7 CPU.
