Toshiba Satellite U505-S2930

The Toshiba Satellite U505-S2930 is a discontinued laptop by Toshiba. It fell in the the Satellite U500 series of laptops, many of which are still available. It has an Intel Core 2 Duo 2.1GHz processor, and integrated Intel graphics.

The graphics could use up to 1760MB of the onboard 4GB memory. In terms of storage, it had both a 320GB hard drive and a memory card reader, which makes it easy to store and transfer large amounts of media. There is also a combo USB/eSATA port for external hard drives, in addition to two other USB ports. Due to the onboard HDMI output and S/PDIF audio output, the U505-S2930 can easily be used as a multimedia PC. It was most likely discontinued due to the fact it ran Windows Vista Home Premium, not Windows 7. Unlike most currently available Satellites, it does have gigabit ethernet and even 802.11a wireless, in addition to 802.11n, making it a good used laptop choice for those who work off a network consistently.
