Toshiba Satellite L510-ST3405
$700.00
Released January, 2009
The Pros:Good rang eof in/output options with USB port that are capable of charging devices even when the computer is in sleep mode, and a eSATA/USB combo port which is a welcomed addition in a budget notebook. Strong configuration for the price with a dual core processor plus plenty of ram and storage, more than enough for the average student and home office user. Scratch proof lid and palm rest thanks to the Toshiba Fusion finish, following the trend of HP.
The Cons:Chassis feels cheap, with low quality plastics and flexible lid. Glossy keyboard keys can be off putting for some users, plus the keys are "slick" unlike traditional keys that have a degree of roughness to them. Finger print magnet, whilst scratch proof, the L510's glossy finish attracts finger print all over.
