$427.00 Released January, 2009

Product Shot 1 The Pros:Battery lasts a very long time during normal operaton. Can open large files in applications and not have any real decrease in performance. Durable and reliable, will work for years like the day it was purchased.

The Cons:Screen seems a little short, generally a small view area. Not enough graphic processing power for gaming purposes.

The Toshiba Satellite L450 represents a series of three laptops (L455D-S5976, L455-S5975, and L455-S5980) released in 2009 alongside the Windows 7 operating system. They include an Intel Celeron or AMD Sempron processor, 2GB of DDR3 RAM, and a 250GB SATA hard-disc drive.

They are designed for both business and multimedia use. The L455D-S5976 is especially geared for games, as it includes an ATI Radeon 3100 graphics card. The other notebooks, on the other hand, sport only an Intel Graphics Accelerator, but make up for this with faster processes. This makes them more useful for multi-tasking and other business-related functions. All three units sport a 15.6” TruBrite HD display, an HDMI interface for transmitting to a compatible HDTV, and a webcam/mic set for online communication.
