Toshiba Satellite L355-S7817

$729.00 Released July, 2008

Product Shot 1 The Pros:Matte finish means that it is not a finger print magnet unlike Toshiba's more expensive media notebooks. Keyboard is pleasant to type on, with minimal flex. Quiet and cooling running cooling system, but is not accessible.

The Cons:Terrible design for power socket. Two tiny plastic clips hold the internal power socket inside the notebook, which snap with anything apart from very cautious use! Only 3 USB ports offered on a large 17" notebook, no firewire port either. Don't expect breathtaking performance from this notebook running a low end pentium dual core processor.

The Toshiba Satellite L355-S7817 is part of Toshiba's Satellite L350 Series and features a 1.86 GHz Intel Pentium Dual-Core processor, Intel GMA X3100 graphics engine, 3 GB of DDR2 memory, and a 160 GB hard drive.

Lacks HDMI output, otherwise it would have been a good media center option
