Toshiba Satellite L300 Series
$589.00
Released June, 2008
The Pros:16:10 aspect ratio not often seen on laptops, preferable for non-media use. Fair price points for the hardware options.
The Cons:Terrible design for power socket. Two tiny plastic clips hold the internal power socket inside the notebook, which snap with anything apart from very cautious use! Uses older DDR2 RAM and last-gen AMD processors and Core 2 Duo Intel CPUs. Clunky, bulky design that isn't very portable at all.
The Toshiba Satellite L300 series is an affordable family of entry-level laptops designed for customers who are on a budget. The laptop is recommended by Toshiba to act as a desktop replacement with it's 15.4" widescreen display and weight of approximately 5.5 pounds, however it's still compact enough to be somewhat portable.
