The Toshiba Satellite A505D-S6987 is a mid-range, 16" notebook computer, one of several pre-built models in the A500 series. It is the only A500 model without an Intel processor, relying instead on an AMD Turion II dual-core CPU clocking in at 2.40 GHz.

It also features 4 GB of RAM and a 500 GB hard drive. The notebook relies on integrated ATI Radeon graphics, and so is not intended for gaming, but will provide strong performance in general computing tasks. The A505D-S6987 also features a slot-loading CD/DVD drive, an LED-backlit keyboard, a built-in webcam, and an HDMI port for playing HD content on a larger display. Windows 7 is pre-installed.
