The Toshiba Satellite A505-S6998 is a higher-end, 16" notebook computer, one of several pre-built models in the A500 series. It features the fastest A500-series processor, clocking in at 2.80 GHz, 6 GB of RAM, and a 500GB hard drive.

The A505-S6998 is one of several models in the A500 series with a discrete graphics card, utilizing the NVIDIA GeForce GT 230M. With shared memory and this 1GB card, the notebook features 3838 MB of total graphics memory, enabling more than adequate gaming performance. The A505-S6998 has a higher-capacity battery than most models, and also features an LED-backlit keyboard, built-in webcam, and an HDMI port for playing HD content on a larger display. Windows 7 is pre-installed.
