The Toshiba Satellite A500 is a mid-range laptop that is designed for gaming, movies, and other entertainment use. The laptop has a 16" widescreen LCD display with Toshiba's TruBrite technology and a high definition ATI Radeon graphics card for 3D gaming and HD movies.

It features either an Intel Core 2 Duo or AMD Turion X2 processor with 4GB DDR2 SDRAM and an up to 500GB hard drive. The Satellite A500 is designed with a DVD SuperMulti drive, LED backlit keyboard, and high performance harman/kardon stereo speakers that provide immersive virtual surround sound. It includes a built-in webcam and microphone and can be configured to include a variety of connectivity options such as HDMI and SPDIF ports. The laptop operates on Windows Vista Home Premium and is available with a high capacity 12-Cell battery for longer battery life. The Satellite A500 comes in an onyx black finish and has a 1 year limited warranty.
