The Sony VAIO S Series VPCSB1BGX is a laptop designed thin and light for portability. This follows the Sony VAIO S Series VPCSB1AGX, and has all of the same components with the exception of the hard drive.
Rather than a traditional HDD, a solid-state drive in a RAID 0 x 4 configuration is used to provide faster and more reliable performance. This change reduces the capacity of the hard drive to 256 Gigabytes. The processor is the same Intel Core i7-2620M running at 2.7GHz, but system memory has been increased to 8 Gigabytes of RAM. Standard features for the series include a 0.95 inch build when the laptop is closed, a 3.8 pound weight, and multi-finger touchpad. WiFi and Ethernet connections are built in for Internet, and wireless communication with other devices is supported through Bluetooth 2.1 and WiDi support. This system runs Windows 7 Professional 64-bit, and includes a suite of Adobe software. It is also Energy Star 5.0 and RoHS compliant.
