HP Pavilion dv4-2040us
$740.00
Released September, 2009
The Pros:Good battery life (with extended battery). Good value for money, capable performance at an affordable price, good as a portable media center. Good all round performer, light weight, yet capable in terms of processing power and media features (fast harddrive, lots of ram).
The Cons:Poor battery life without extended battery, due to the AMD processor. AMD Turion II processor runs hotter than its Intel counterparts and with lower performance, but they are cheaper. Clunky with extended battery, it does not sit flush with the rest of the notebook.
