HP G60t Series
$530.00
Released January, 2009
The Pros:Capable of producing above average audio for a laptop due to its Altec Lansing speakers. Keyboard features a full num pad and is still pretty comfortable to type with. Very bright, vibrant display--great for watching movies.
The Cons:Fairly outdated specs--only supports 4GB DDR2 RAM, Intel Centrino, Core 2 Duo processor options. Screen is VERY reflective--can be difficult to see in bright environments. Lacks dedicated volume buttons--something that's usually standard.

With its spacious, 16'' BrightView, ultrawide screen, it is great for watching movies and still light and small enough to stuff into a backpack. With up to 4 GB RAM free upgrade from HP, the HP G60t series provides fast processor speed for multitaskers who work with several open windows. It also has a 5-in-1 card reader for rapid photo transfers. For those thinking of buying this product, consider uninstalling the many programs that HP installs on its laptops, such as WildTangent Games and MS Office trials, for a faster bootup time and processing time. Getting a separate webcam is also a good idea, as the one which is installed is of inferior quality.
