Dell Inspiron 1721

The Dell Inspiron 1721 is a 17'' desktop replacement notebook. In terms of design, it is identical to the Inspiron 1720 (Intel based). The main difference is that the 1721 uses AMD processors and graphics cards.

It is available with AMD's Althon and Turion dual core processors along with ATI X1270 integrated graphics. High resolution (1920x1200) LCD display option is available along with standard (1440x900) displays. Other components include up to 4GB of ram, up to 500GB of storage space with dual hard drives, and a DVD/CD combo drive. The 1721 offers a range of connectivity options consisting of b/g/n wifi, built in wireless broadband option, and 10/100 ethernet. With it's large chassis, it has plenty of room for in/output ports including five USB2.0 ports, VGA and S-video output, and firewire. The Inspiron 1721 is a good option for buyers who are looking for a low cost home media center.
