Regardless, the 15R Alloy Edition is otherwise almost an exact duplicate of the 15R, a laptop released in mid-2010 as an upgrade from the original Inspiron 5. It does offer a few notable enhancements however, including CPU options up to a Core i7, and HDD options up to a larger 750GB. Additional features include integrated Intel graphics or an optional ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650, up to 8GB RAM, and a choice of either 6- or 9-cell batteries.
