Dell Inspiron 1501

$500.00 Released July, 2006

Product Shot 1 The Pros:Excellent value for the price. Doesn't come loaded with bloatware that needs uninstalling. Comes with restore disk and Microsoft product key.

The Cons:Not a gaming PC, really can't run any 3D without major lag. Can't run HD video without screen tearing or skipped frames. Keyboard feels cheap and flimsy, like it's going to break if you use it too much.

The Dell Inspiron 1501 is a 15.4'' consumer notebook PC. It moves away from the traditional business styling (inherited by the Latitude line) and move towards a more style design. The 1501 uses AMD components unlike the Intel based Inspiron e1505.

Where to Buy

The 1501 offers several AMD single core and dual core processor options along with an ATI Express 1150 integrated graphics card. It offers a range of wireless connectivity options along with high performance parts such as up to 2GB of ram and high capacity hard disk drive options. Whilst Inspiron 1501 might not perform as well as the Intel based version, it offers great value for buyers looking for a budget option. Daily and multimedia tasks will pose no problems for the dual core AMD processors.
