Asus UL50Vt
$1,000.00
Released November, 2009
The Pros:Battery 8 hours.
The Cons:Many variants (UL50AT, UL50VS, UL50VT, UL50A, UL50AG, UL50VG).
What makes the Asus UL50Vt different from its counter part, the UL50AG, is the fact that it can handle up to 8 GB of memory, 4 more GB than any of the opter UL laptops released around the same time. It offers up to 500GB for a hard drive, a DVD SuperMulti burner, and a 1366 x 768 display.

One not so exciting feature is the webcam - with a miniscule 0.3 megapixel webcam, the consumer might as well just buy an external webcam and use that instead. The webcam is standard across all the UL laptops in this line. The Asus UL50Vt has 12 hours for a battery lifespan because it uses GraphiX Boost that helps consumers conserve their battery power by switching in between integrated and dedicated graphics. The laptop weighs very little, only 4.6 pounds, extremely light for a 15.6 inch screen.
