Released November, 2009
The Pros:Comes with Windows 7. Ample RAM and disk capacity. Switchable graphics (without reboot) - Intel GMA for enhanced battery life, cool & quiet operation, Nvidia discrete graphics for powerful 3D performance.
The Cons:No optical drive. CPU with slow individual clock speed - biggest limiting factor when playing games, using power hungry applications. Turbo-mode overclocking requires a reboot.
The Asus UL30Vt is a sleek 13.3” Windows 7 notebook featuring an Intel Celeron 1.2GHz processor, 3GB of DDR3 RAM, and up to a 500GB SATA hard-disc drive spinning at 5400RPM. It can be upgraded with an Intel Core 2 Duo 1.4GHz processor and up to 4GB of RAM.

Pivotal to the UL30Vt is that it hosts two graphic choices: an embedded Intel GMA X4500MHD accelerator and a more powerful nVidia GeForce G 210M card with 512MB of vRAM. Even more notable is that users can easily switch between cards, allowing them to instead rely on the weaker accelerator when the low battery indicator pops up. Additional features include 12+ claimed hours of battery life; Turbo33 Technology for a 33% increase in system performance, especially when handling multimedia; and a 4-in-1 card reader.
