The processor of the U2E is an Intel Core 1.2 GHz Duo U7600, with a 544MHz Front Side Bus, and 2MB of L2 Cache. This processor will be able to handle the usual notebook duties of text input and mild web browsing, but is a step down from the premium U6V notebook's Intel Core 2 2.53 GHz Duo T9400/P8600/P8400 processor. The display of this notebook is a 11.1" WXGA LED backlight display, which is not quite up to the U6V's 12.1" WXGA LED backlight display. The hard drive of the U2E is a 1.8" HDD (with a 160GB SSD). This is well below the U6V's 2.5" dual SATA setup (320GB/5400rpm and 250GB/5400rpm). Despite their differences, the U2E has specs in common with the U6V: both laptops run on Genuine Windows Vista (32-bit or 64-bit, though Asus recommends the 64-bit version to ensure your 4GB memory is not scaled down to 3GB), both have Asus Splendid Video Technology (which automatically adjusts color and contrast for optimum picture quality), and both have a 0.3 megapixel webcam.
