The Cons:Display is not 1080p.

The Asus N71 is one of the two additions to the multimedia notebooks in the Asus N-Series. It is bigger than the N61 with its 17.3-inch HD LED display that runs with a 1600x900 resolution. The laptop has excellent hardware, including a choice of a Intel Core 2 Duo or Core 2 Quad processor, a 500GB hard drive, a choice of a NVIDIA GeForce GT 250M or GT 220M graphics card, and 4GB of DDR3 RAM.

 It comes with Genuine Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit or a choice of one of the Windows 7 options, such as home premium, home basic, professional and ultimate. The Asus N71 comes with high definition audio that is a combination of Altec Lansing speakers and SRS premium sound. The included Video Magic software pack improves the color and brightness of images displayed as well as upscaling the resolution of conventional DVDs from the normal 740p up to a high definition of 1080p.
