For easy operation, it features several "Smart Technologies". These include face-recognition technology for quick logons without having to remember passwords, one-touch multimedia access above the keyboard, a fingerprint sensor for security and a built in air ionizer to clean the air from allergens and germs and promote air-flow and circulation. The Express Gate technology gives ultra fast 8 second boot up for access to most commonly used features such as web browser, instant messenger, Skype, photo manager, music player and online gaming. It is powered by a 2.0-2.8 GHz Intel Core Duo processor, comes with 4GB of memory and an option of a 160GB, 250GB, 320GB or 500GB hard drive. There is a built in 2.0 megapixel webcam and built in microphone and speakers for easy self portraits or online communication. The Asus N50Vn has a 15.4" LED panel display, built in Blu-Ray/DVD drive, an 8-in-1 card reader for most popular card types and has several wireless connectivity options.
