The Pros:Affordable price. LED backlit display. Capable of displaying high definition 720p media.
The Cons:Heavy and large size - poor for use on the go. Intel GMA graphics is no good for anything but standard media, desktop applications. Many people have problems with the Sound cards. My sister just got a brand new one and the sound has only worked once.
The Asus K50IJ is a 15.6" notebook PC from Asus' multimedia-oriented K-Series for 2009 and is the lowest of the three 15.6" models from the series, the other models being the K50AB and K51AB.

The laptop features an LED backlit display with a native resolution of 1366 x 768. It is equipped with an Intel Core 2 Duo processor along with an Intel integrated GMA 4500M graphics card. The K50IJ includes up to 4GB RAM and an up to 320GB hard drive. The laptop comes with a built-in DVD burner, webcam, and Altec Lansing speakers with SRS surround sound support. It also has a 6-cell battery to provide a battery life of up to 3 hours.

Audio gets a bad rap, but it's because people don't understand that they have to turn on the SRS Premium Sound program (comes installed) to get better sound.
