Acer TravelMate 6593

$952.13 Released December, 2008

Product Shot 1 The Pros:Uses a lower powered P series processor, as a result it provides up to 6hrs of battery time which is excellent for a 15.4" notebook. Has a free fall sensor that tells the hard drive to park the reader head in the case of sudden movements or falls, good to see Acer did not skim on essential business notebook features. Offers plenty of ram and storage, more than enough for business users with basic processing needs.

The Cons:Low resolution display, 1440x900 is a better option for what is supposed to be a business notebook, more screen estate for documents. Glossy display, poor for business users, unusable in daylight and reflections adds fatigue during long hours of usage. Does not inherit the ergonomic curved keyboard from previous Travelmate models.

The Acer TravelMate 6593 is a notebook intended for business use, in the upper mid-range of Acer's lineup, and comes in two different versions. One of the main features of the 6593 is that it is supposed to be both secure and robust.

Graphics performance (or the lack of) is sacrificed for battery life, don't expect to run any modern games
