It is especially entertainment friendly, as it hosts a large 15.4" WXGA LCD display and an advanced Intel Graphics Media Accelerator (4500M / 1759MB) integrated graphics chip. Included also are two built-in 3DSonic stereo speakers with support for high-definition, multi-channel audio output. Signature to the 5230 is its Acer Video Conferencing technology, which offers Voice and Video over Internal Protocol (VVoIP) support with an included Crystal Eye webcam, integrated microphone, and WiFi/Gigabit connectivity.
