Acer Extensa 4630

$459.00 Released September, 2008

Product Shot 1 The Pros:Runs very stable, can handle heavy loads at once without crashing. Speed and multi-tasking are snappy and quick, no problems. Minimum bloatware loaded on the machine by default.

The Cons:Speakers are well below-par, useless for anything other than warning beeps. Lots of creaks and flex in the construction, ports all feel a little insecure. Gets progressively slower over time, generally severe within a year.

The Extensa 4630 lineup is a group of entry-level notebooks available from Acer, all of which can be used for personal home or light business use. Most come with Windows Vista Home as an operating system and all have Intel Pentium processors with a speed of at least 2.0GHz.
